The Circuit Playground Express is a great low-floor, high-ceiling device for coding and making experiences. Total novices can be coding lights and sounds that respond to inputs in under an hour. More advanced users and makers can create projects that control motors and LEDs, and they can easily switch from the blocks-based coding environment to JavaScript. We'll look at examples and then play with the MakeCode environment and simulator. MakeCode is web-based, so there is nothing to download and all devices work with it.
